Day 8

Today we are seeing a lot in Florence! We are staying together as a class most of the day! We had class in the morning at the hotel, then went to the Leonardo De Vinci Museum, a food market, and then my friends and I went to the top of Michelangelo! It was cold and rainy today, again! Ugh!!

The De Vinci museum was an interactive museum which was cool because we actually got to play with some of the machines he invented! (Trey, you would've LOVED it) There was a room for paintings, anatomy, machines, books, and more!

Then we went to this market place which was interesting! It was inside and had 2 levels, one was fresh goods and the other was a bunch of restaurants. This place was packed. But I had some good pasta and yummy desserts!

We hit the leather market again to see if we could find any other good buys! There is so much there we were bound to have missed something! It is amazing at how much they try to bargain and sell you such over priced stuff. Im like 10 euro or I walk.

Then we went to the top of Michelangelo which was BEAUTIFUL! We got a view of the city and I was amazing. Pictures do not do it's justice but definitely take a look at them! The hike was too much so we were lazy and took a taxi, which as I said previously is always a thrill.

I ended the night by getting the chance to see my dear friend Courtney! She has been in Florence since January studying abroad. It was for sure a run in slow motion, friend reuniting movie moment. So So happy to see her! We had dinner at a place that served unlimited wine to students so I got to try a few different kinds. Then Courtney took us to basically a tourist Karaoke bar which was so much fun! My friends and I went up and sang the song kiss me thru the phone WOOT WOOT!

It was a pretty good day if I do say so myself!
