Today we got to go into a high school building! This went much better than yesterday, I felt. There was much more classroom management all around. I went into 3 different classrooms, biology, German, and literature. The biology was cool because they were learning about the human body so to hear and see how they teach that as well as getting to take a look at their textbook was interesting. Something I learned was their food pyramid is completely different than ours. This is pictured below as well as some snippets of other pages in the textbook. The professor had more of a discussion/conversation type of lecture which made the students very involved and active throughout. I hate biology AND I had no idea what they were saying and I was still engaged sooo I'd say that teacher got a 10/10 from me!

The German classroom was very fun. The students were learning a song and translating it. We got to sing it and learn it with them. This made me want to learn how to speak German. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The teacher spoke good english too so she was able to translate and communicate with us about what was going on. Some of the students spoke english as well so it was fun to hear them practice their english too. I was also very engaged throughout this class and would have enjoyed staying there the whole day.
Note to self: Learn German.
The literature class was very dry only because it was mainly a lecture and I could not understand a word the teacher was saying. You could tell not a lot of his students were engaged and interactive throughout his lesson.
After we visited the school, we came back to our apartment and had lunch. We worked on homework, planned our activity schedule for the rest of the week, I took a nap, we made dinner, and then went out for gelato. And here I am still finishing up some homework. We only have this week left so hopefully we will get to do fun things our final days!
Sad it is coming to an end but I am excited to be home :)
