Today we had the privilege of going to a middle school and elementary school! This was super fun and, so far, my favorite part of the trip! Tomorrow (Tuesday) we get to go to the high school!

A few of us ISU students with a middle school class

The students were all super excited to talk to all of us and ask questions about America! They were excited to practice their english, but otherwise there was always a students to translate for one another. They asked us lots of questions that you would not think you would get asked but as young students who are from a different country, they don't really know what to expect. (i'd assume at least)

Some questions were:

What type of dog do you like?

Do you like water?

Do you like chocolate?

What is your favorite food?

What sports do you play?

Something I noticed throughout both of the schools was the lack of classroom management. It was very loud and and chaotic! The students would all talk at the same time and then talk louder to try and talk over one another. The teacher seemed to have a rough time getting their attention. The walls were not very decorated with posters or sayings or anything like that compared to what an american classroom looked liked.

We also got to watch some dance classes which was really cool! You could tell they were trying to impress all of us. Especially the middle school boys. They were very fond of us girls. A couple of us might try to go back and visit this week if we have time!
