Day 7

Today our class headed to stay in Florence for a the week! We traveled by train! We have not done much traveling as a class, so it was fun to be together for once!

Florence Cathedral

When we first got there, we went our for lunch while waiting for our rooms to be ready at our hotel. It was very delicious. I got pizza for the 10000x lol

After we got settled into our hotel, we went and toured the Florence Cathedral which is where the duomo (dome) is located. You had to book tickets in advance to go to the top of the dome, so we had to come back another day to do that. The cathedral was beautiful. I have to admit though, since I've seen the Vatican and other gorgeous cathedrals, this one was kinda.. eh..

We walked around the city for a bit, checked out the leather market which was jaw dropping honestly. At night, after everyone is gone, the street STILL smells like leather. If that doesn't tell you how much leather is there, I am not sure what else would.

It was pretty chilly all day as well as rain and it was supposed to be the same all week but I only packed 2 pairs of long pants and the rest were skirts and dresses... aka i was either going to freeze or re-wear outfits.

Note to self: Always check the weather before traveling for a week, even if it only 3 hours away.

My friends and I had dinner and then went home to get some rest before a busy day tomorrow! Enjoy the pictures! :)
